Makassar, May 23, 2025 – The Faculty of Public Health (FKM) of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) once again celebrated a significant moment with the holding of its Yudisium and Alumni Farewell and Fellowship event for the May 2025 period. A total of 42 students from various academic levels, ranging from undergraduate to doctoral programs, were officially released in a solemn ceremony held at the Prof. Nur Nasry Noor Hall of FKM Unhas last Friday.

This event marked the graduates’ readiness to contribute to society, comprising 25 Bachelor’s (S1) graduates, 15 Master’s (S2) graduates, and 2 Doctoral (S3) graduates. The presence of the Dean of FKM Unhas, Prof. Sukri Palutturi, SKM., M.Kes., M.Sc.PH., Ph.D., along with the vice deans, heads of study programs, heads of departments, professors, and section heads within the faculty, added to the vibrant atmosphere of the farewell.

In his inspiring speech, Prof. Sukri Palutturi not only congratulated the prospective graduates on their academic achievements but also emphasized the importance of upholding the good name of the alma mater and continuing to make tangible contributions to the nation. Furthermore, Prof. Sukri proudly announced that FKM Unhas has now become one of the three faculties that have successfully entered the top three integrity zones at Hasanuddin University, alongside the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Forestry.

“FKM Unhas consistently promotes a work culture that is transparent, accountable, and oriented towards public service,” asserted Prof. Sukri. This commitment to integrity is further strengthened by the designation of FKM Unhas as part of the Corruption-Free Zone and Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBK/WBBM) for the Year 2025, an acknowledgment based on the Decree of the Rector of Hasanuddin University Number 07052/UN4.1/KEP/2025, which is a continuation of the strict evaluation by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

A spirit of togetherness was also echoed by the representative of the FKM Unhas Alumni Association (IKA), Dr. Arman, SKM., M.Kes. He expressed appreciation for the alumni’s success and affirmed that FKM Unhas has produced over 10,000 alumni spread across various regions of Indonesia, demonstrating the significant quality and positive impact of FKM Unhas on national health development.

With the official conclusion of this event, the 42 prospective graduates of FKM Unhas for the May 2025 Period are now ready to embark on their journey as an integral part of the large family of Hasanuddin University alumni who are adaptive, resilient, and competitive. This Yudisium and Fellowship event was not merely a ceremonial farewell but also a reflective moment that strengthened the bond between the faculty and its alumni, reaffirming FKM Unhas’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
